More about me and Wes

I’m a working mom with two little kiddos (3 and 6 years old). I grew up with family dogs that I loved. But, my very own dog came later in my 20s. He was an 8-week-old rescue pup when I adopted him. At the time, the shelter told me he was a German Shepherd mix and would be over 100 lbs. As you can see from the picture of Wes, he was only about 20 pounds!

I lost Wes when he was 12 (November 29th, 2022) suddenly from a blood clot. It was tragic and devastating and something I will probably never get over. But Wes was such an incredible dog that I know he would have wanted me to do something special with his death to help other dog owners. And that is how this blog and services were born! You can read more about my incredible Wes in his obituary here.

If you want to find a furry friend, I always recommend looking at your local shelter and rescue. Click Here you will find shelters to help get you started on your search!
